Who is an associate?

An individual who has completed their master's degree at an accredited college in counseling and has been working in the field. As an associate they are approved by the state and work under the supervision of a fully licensed clinician.

Mallori Thompson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas, supervised by Martha Franek-Montanez, LPC-S. She completed her masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and holds a Bachelors in victim studies from Sam Houston State University.

Mallori has had the privilege of counseling at a women's shelter as well as multiple private practices. Approaching counseling through a Cognitive Behavioral and Trauma Focused Therapy, Mallori prides herself on providing a safe space for women to share their stories and develop coping skills. Mallori believes at times women feel unheard, unseen, unprotected, or lonely. It’s hard to heal when you don’t feel supported or are afraid to seek help. Mallori is looking forward to providing support in a non-judgmental safe space for women to flourish. Mallori is also a BIPOC Champion (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) as well as a LGBTQIA+ Ally.

Mallori is working to become a certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician.
